Stephan Dietrich, sport editor at the daily newspaper Berner Zeitung (SUI) wrote an article about the match FC Thun (SUI) - US Città di Palermo (ITA) and the qualification of FC Thun for the UEFA Europa League Play Off.

In der nächsten Europacup-Runde wird Thun wohl erneut in der Arena antreten. «Ich gehe davon aus, dass wir die Richtlinien für das Playoff erfüllen», sagt Ralph Ammann. Der Verantwortliche für die Thuner Europacup-Kampagne hat von der Uefa bis jetzt nichts Gegenteiliges gehört. Ob man auch die Gruppenphase der Europa League in Thun spielen würde, ist hingegen nicht sicher. «Da müssen wir noch einiges abklären. Entscheidend dürfte sein, in welchem Stadion wir das beste Verhältnis zwischen Aufwand und Ertrag finden.»
