Den 22. April 2007 wird Beat Mändli nie vergessen. An jenem Tag wurde der Springreiter aus Ebertswil in Las Vegas mit Ideo du Thot Weltcup-Sieger. Er gewann als zweiter Schweizer nach Markus Fuchs (2001 in Göteborg mit Tinka's Boy) den Weltcup, die inoffizielle Hallen-Weltmeisterschaft, die der Luzerner Max Ammann nach dem Vorbild des Ski-Weltcups ins Leben gerufen hatte.

Max E. Ammann was Director of the World Cup Jumping from 1978 to 2003. With network4events (former Editions Hippiques) he was responsible for the rules and regulations; he did the contract negotiations with the organisers, the sponsors and the TV stations. He supervised the financial aspects of the project and took care of the relations to the World Cup sponsor Volvo. He was responsible for the media and public relations and was the contact to the Jumping riders.
