Hört ein Pferdesportfreund vom kanadischen Calgary, so denkt er wahrscheinlich an Spruce Meadows, den wunderbaren Turnierplatz, wo alljährlich, neben einigen CSI und nationalen Anlässen im September ein hochdotierter CSIO stattfindet. Das Ehepaar Ron und Marg Southern hat die Anlage und den Anlass geschaffen. Aber Calgary ist pferdesportlich nicht nur Spruce Meadows. Es ist auch das «Rocky Mountain Show Jumping» der Anderson-Familie. Auch hier hat ein Ehepaar, die Andersons, Anlage und Anlass geschaffen, heute sind die Kinder involviert.
