Expo.02 > Théâtre des Roseaux - Arteplage Neuchâtel: Artemisia

The theater play Artemisia, a magical comedy by Denis Rabaglia & Ahmed Belbachir, was played from 03.09.2002-04.10.2002 in the Théâtre des Roseaux on the Arteplage Neuchâtel (SUI) during the Swiss National Exposition, Expo.02.

Her botanical name is Artemisia absinthium, also known as the Green Fairy. In this comedy Absinthe acts as singer and dancer: between fear, myth and dream she remains in conversations. Here, she intoxicates the body and mind of three childhood friends who meet again in their native valley. Will they forget their former oaths? Will Artemisia turn into flesh and blood, or will she remain for ever a mystery? In a real world, which is, however, dominated by dreams and magic, Artemisia invites you to discover an unknown part of your own person.
