World Cup Jumping: Season 1981/1982

In season 1981/1982 the World Cup Jumping had 6 leagues with a total of 48 competitions in 16 countries. The top placed of the leagues met from 14.-18.04.1982 for the World Cup Final in Gothenburg (SWE). 

League winners:
Western European League: Thomas Fuchs (SUI) - Willora Carpets / Willora Swiss
North American League - East Coast: Bernie Traurig (USA) - Eaden Vale / Ptarmigan
North American League - West Coast: Hap Hansen (USA) - Faon Rouge / Hai Karate
South American League - South: Americo Simonetti (CHI) - Jet Set / Yapeyu / Kabo
South American League - North: Oscar Pacheco (VEN) - Bambu
Australien - Pacific League: Mariane Gilchrist (AUS) - Goldray

Max E. Ammann was Director of the World Cup Jumping from 1978 to 2003. With network4events (former Editions Hippiques) he was responsible for the rules and regulations; he did the contract negotiations with the organisers, the sponsors and the TV stations. He supervised the financial aspects of the project and took care of the relations to the World Cup sponsor Volvo. He was responsible for the media and public relations and was the contact to the Jumping riders.
