Im internationalen Springsport gibt es vier grosse Einzelehren zu holen: alle vier Jahre olympisches Gold und den WM-Titel, alle zwei Jahre den EM-Titel und jährlich den Sieg im Weltcupfinal. Die vier Championate haben seit jeher unterschiedliche Formate und Formeln. Das war beabsichtigt und ist gut so.
