Eight communities from the Canton of St.Gallen took part at the Canton day at the Expo.02. In a two hour show on various stages, squares and in the lac of Neuchâtel they presented  their Canton with music, sport and humour. The performance contained elements which were traditional, original and unconventional: Rock music alternated with choral chants and alphorn, synchronised swimmers followed by a vaulting group, rowing and then aerobics dancers - everything could be viewed live or as a live broadcast on big screens.

"Myth and present" this was the theme of the canton days of Expo.02. The cantons used these days to reduce old prejudices and the build new relationships.

Myriam Neuhaus was working for Expo.02 as Press Officer at the directorate events. She was taking care of the German and Italian speaking medias.
Ralph Ammann was Head of Events Arteplage Neuchâtel and, until 2001, Manager of Logistics for the directorate events during the preparation phase of Expo.02.
